What is something negative someone has said to you that has stuck and will stick with you forever?

For me, it was when I was 13 or 14. I've always been about music. Music is my thing. It's all I can do right. My dad...is not an understanding person. I'm never going to forget, I think that I wanted to get a new Harmonica or something stupid, just something cheap, and him my mom and I were out to eat at the country club. We're walking to the car and my mom brings up that me and her are going to go looking for Harmonica's somewhere the next day, and he just flipped out. He said something very close to "Why does he need anything else, he can't even play well at all, it's just a waste of money, there's no point, blah blah blah..." It really hurt me. My dad and I have never been close. I've never really liked him that much. But that did it. That was the last straw. Since then I can't play a song or write a song without thinking to myself "It's pointless, I'm not even good, so why do I bother? It's the only thing I can do and I can't even do it right."
