If I add m&m's to store brand cookie dough do I need to adjust the cooking time?
I want to make cookies for a bake sale at school next month with green m&ms, for st patty's day. I'm a novice so I don't wanna try and make them from scratch and they end up awful. If you have a foolproof recipe I'm welcome to it :)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
mix and set aside.
in bigger bowl:
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine at room temperature
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed tightly brown sugar (light or dark)
beat this together with a mixer or by hand then add
2 large eggs (whatever size you have will work)
mix until well blended
then add 1 tsp vanilla extract
mix.
then add the flour mixture in a little at a time
then add 1 - 2 cups chocolate chips OR M&M's or a mix of them
get a large (13inch by 9inch) cake pan. (or a jelly roll pan flat pan short edges)
grease with butter or shortening.
spread the cookie batter in the pan.
bake for 20 to 25 minutes. TIME them at 20 and check--they should be lightly brown on top and not sink when you tap the middle. Let cool and cut into the size you want. ☺
(this is the original "Toll House" cookie recipe from they're package) it works because it tastes great and is easy
if you want to make cookies drop the dough about 2 inches apart on an UNGREASED baking sheet and bake 9-11 minutes. cool on cooling rack then store airtight.

No need to adjust. But my best advice would be to place the cookie dough on the sheet , press it down a little and then arrange the m and m's on top. Just so that you do not OVERLOAD the cookies.
