How to ref/officiate a youth basketball game?
I'm a 15 year old male who was recently put on the spot to ref a girls basketball championship (5th Grade) with no prior experience whatsoever. Is there any tips that would help me perform my job fluidly? I don't want to look nervous, yet their parents are all going to be there. I honestly have no idea how to correctly ref the game, so tips would help. Thanks

Because it is 5th Gr. girls i would say not to call every foul to let them play but call the obvious ones. You do this because they are young and there might be a foul every play (you never know). If the girls dont seem very skilled than dont call the tiny travels unless they are obvious. Don't call nothing but dont call too much. Hope this helped!!!

Make sure you know all the rules, and play some eye testing games before the game so your alert on the day.
