what is a prolonged tail shining object in the sky ? it is star or some thing else !?

and why it is disappeared for years..and the stars are movable or stationary?

    its a comet . some orbit the sun so they apear everytime they complete an orbit . example Halleys comet which has an orbit of 75 years .other comets just pass near the earth once.

    the stars and planets are all moving . they are so far away that they look stationary.

    The "prolonged tail shining object" is a comet. It is not a star.

    Comets orbit the sun - when they are close to the sun they show a tail, but when they are far from the sun they don't.

    Stars do move, but very slowly so we don't see the movement for decades.
