Don't you think this weird disease is caused by carbs?

Curious story about a weird brain disease among young women. Oh, big mystery, doctors can't solve it. How about -- it's a result of a carb-only diet deficient in fat and protein? Who gets it? Young women. The same people who try to live off of Special K and fruit and who avoid meat and fat. So am I right or what?

Update:

CJ - OK I was being a bit rhetorical, it occurs PRIMARILY in young women. Your link says nothing about gender incidence other than revealing that there ARE males who are affected. However your link also makes clear that the issue is better understood and studied among women, which suggests it mostly happens among women, which is in accord with the news item claim that it mostly affects females. My suspicion is that it's a side-effect of a low-fat low-protein diet, as followed MOSTLY be young woman, and less commonly by other people.
