Can Gravity sensor of our phone will work in space or Moon?

Will Gravity sensor of our phone can

work at moon or in space?

Actually, I was playing game in my

phone. And one of my small niece

asked me " how to play?"

And I replied, " You just be stationary,

and bend phone to right to go right

and vise-versa."

And I also told her that "it works

due to the help of gravity sensor."

Suddenly one question arised in my

mind...

Is gravity sensor of our phone is

really a gravity sensor or not, its

just a program.

If it Is really gravity sensor then we

will not be able to play on moon or

in space.

I reckon its really treaky.

Can anyone will help me to know its

mechanism.

The so-called "gravity sensor" is just an accelerometer. It measures acceleration force, in the X, Y, and Z directions. The software assumes that the force of 9.81 m/s^2 is the standard Earth gravity. If you were on the moon, the sensor would measure only 0.1654 g's, so it would assume that you were falling (accelerating) downwards at 0.8346 g's.

    1.0000 - 0.1654 = 0.8346

Notice: the sensor does NOT measure speed. There is no way for the sensor to know if the acceleration force is from acceleration of movement, or from gravity. The software can't even subtract standard Earth gravity and assume the rest is from movement, because the real force of gravity changes as you move around the Earth, and up and down mountains or in airplanes.

So back to your question. I don't think the phone sensor (with it's software) would give the expected results on the moon, or in orbit, or even just skydiving.

Despite the fact that my spouse's father performed gas calculations for the usual Apollo landing, i'm going to spare you that speech. Alternatively, i'll motivate you to watch two programs. The first exhibit is referred to as Conspiracy Moon touchdown that it presently displaying on the countrywide Geographic Channel and it usually obliterates the entire preferred conspiracy theories. I would also motivate you to watch a film known as Capricorn One. Made it 1978, it's a fictional story a couple of fake mission to Mars. Even though it's a science fiction story, it's a good example of how utterly unattainable it could be to false a moon touchdown for any size of time. 12 guys walked on the moon from 1969 to 1972 and we now have neither the assets nor the science to pull off that enormous of a hoax for goodbye. 1000s of hundreds and hundreds of persons have worked on the gap application. It will be a ways less difficult to place someone on the moon than to check out and false it and keep it secret for almost forty years. The landings got here at a time when our space program was ultra aggressive with the former Soviet Union. Remember how giant of a deal it was when Sputnik was once put into orbit? That they had the science to watch our moon shots and transmissions. Don't you believe they'd have called us out if they'd proof that it used to be all false? Possibly probably the most definitive proof of our commute to the moon is what we left at the back of. For the last 35+ years, scientists have been beaming lasers to the moon and measuring the return times. How are they doing this? The beams are mirrored back by means of equipment left on the moon on at 3 exceptional areas. Case closed.
