What's the best hand gun for self-defense, easy to use, and has many rounds?

Glocks are pretty hard to beat,,,

handguns are poor choice for self protection if you're new to guns, they require regular practice and training to become a good shot, then additional training (professional if you can) so you'd be prepared when it's life-death and you don't panic and forget your skills!

I practice weekly and attend at least 5 classes a year taught by a professional and my marksmanship still kinda sucks. sure I cna place well at the range, but that is when I'm in a calm, controlled environmental and I can really focus on grip ,stance, sight picture and trigger pull. In a life-death situation, I'm not really sure if I can hit a guy from 15 feet away. especially they got a gun and I'm not ambush/shooting from cover!

you're just gonna end up pointing and jerking the trigger. AND you're gonna forget that you're responsible for every bullet fired, including all the missed ones that may damage property, hit other people or put innocent people on the street in danger.

IMO, handguns are a poor choice for protection.

if you must pick something, I recommend something low recoiling, easy to point-shoot and with a fairly light trigger. full size or compact Glock, 1911 (in 9mm) or some kind of .22lr. avoid DA triggers, you're just gonna end up shooting pavement/dirt. avoid complex guns, people loose fine motor skills and become confused easily because their mind is someplace else.
