What is it like getting a Root Canal?

I'm a 22 year old female and I am going to have a Root Canal done next week. I am really freaking out as I do not know what I am in for.

And NO I do not need treatment because I don't brush or take care of my teeth. I had a seizure and fell into a phone box.

    you feel nothing.

1- local anestesia (won't hurt because prior to it the dentist apply topical gel)

2- drilling.to open the nerve cavity

3- rubber Dam to isolate the tooth. u just have your mouth opened up. at this point you can sleep.

4- if you don't sleep you'll just watch RCTreatment steps.

5- a filling is put in the tooth untill later visits for crown.

6- you experience the bad effect of dentists fees at the cashier.

what you MIGHT experience is a MILD pain when you shew on the tooth the nest 48h. that's why, if the tooth is to be crowned later, the dentist will reduce it's contact with the opposing tooth.

I know of people who regret going through with a root canal.

I read an article regarding the negative side effects of them, and some dentists are advising against it. Although the majority of dentists would ask you to go through with it and downplay the risks.

Here it is: Also search on the negative side effects on google.
