Its tough work trying to protect one of the largest pedophile rings in the world.

Now he can retire to Bavaria with all of his altar boys.

I hope that the reason for his resignation is infirmity. If so it is a most generous act for the good of the church. But if it is strategic to insure that another of his ilk maintains control of the papacy rather than let a younger, kinder, more reality-based college of cardinals choose even a slightly more liberal successor than it is the worst act for the good of the church and will further diminish the faithful.

the Pope is "pooped out" because he'd 85 years old!..when ANYONE reaches that age they tend to run out of gas!

He's 85 , as far as I'm concerned that's a pretty good reason to retire.
