Buying a car in one state and registering it in another...do I need to pay sales tax to both states?

We are a military family. We will be buying a car in NJ, yet we are Florida state residents and we wish to register the car in FL. Online it says FL will charge us a 6% sales tax to register it in that state. If we pay sales tax on the car in NJ at time of purchase will we still have to pay the 6% sales tax to Florida as well when we register it?

i could like to take heed to that telephone call to the police. the vehicle is offered as is while 2 persons do a deal. except you're a broker, you haven't any longer any responsibilities different than to furnish the vehicle and the call. Now, they could take you to courtroom and sue you yet have little probability of prevailing. as long as you probably did no longer say something stupid like "I assure this automobile won't supply you any issues for the subsequent 10 years" or some thing comparable, you have to be ok. with a bit of luck the shopper isn't a psycho who starts stalking you. it fairly is yet one extra reason i could incredibly commerce a automobile in and lose money than cope with idiots who adventure shopper's be apologetic approximately.
