As SteveO said. The new download has fixed quite a lot. However, I use Firefox in both Windows and Linux and have Java disabled in that browser. I need java in Windows for development in Netbeans.

The issues in Java have existed for years, and Oracle is finally being exposed for not fixing them. I never disabled Java (I need it for Eclipse and Android development) and nothing happened to me.
