how many british car companies exist these days?

ones that are british still

e.g. aston martin, noble etc.

    Hi really apart from Morgan and noble at present all the rest mention above are no longer british owned.

    they have german and indian owners like land rover owned by TATA of india .

    aston is even under Ford of america the rolls royce and bentley are BMW really

    so TVR is a bitser as we say not one one piece.

    AC cars of thames ditton has a ameriacn company now own as like Ford mustang with a shelby engine v8. hence the AC COBRA.

    Morgan is the only one I am aware of. Rolls Royce, Mini, Rover were sold to foreign conglomerates. An English car company owned by the Germans or Italians or any other foreign country does not qualify as a British car company to me. Just as Chrysler is no longer an American car (owned by Fiat).
