Actually, if you look at sales, MORE people buy it than ever before. Not necessarilly because it is good, mostly because it's a big name. And it has history. Even players who claim to hate them buy the next installement "just in case it's better".

Also, idiotic parents buy these games for their 8 year olds, which I do not approve of, but it makes more players on it. Players that CAMP the multiplayer, YES, but more players nonetheless.

Also, the main appeal for most players of COD is the story in the campaign. Since it is episodic (3rd is a sequel to 2nd, etc) people want to play the campaign to see what happens to X or Y favorite characters. Also, it's a great game for local multiplayer. Nothing like playing with a couple of friends at a party with a few consommations ;-)

Define these days. As in today? If course. Fewer people are buying cod today because most people already bought the game when it was released.

If you the current game vs the previous game, then no. Cod seems to be breaking records when a new cod game is released.

I don't like the changes they have made to cod personally which affects veteran players from buying newer versions of the games. I have been playing cod since cod3 and for some reason I still buy the most up to date versions. Regardless, the franchise is still booming so I would say no.

Because their getting old and it's the same thing over and over again for each new game that comes out. The graphics thanks to the xbox and ps3 are ugly as hell. People fall off the hub for pinning down players in multiplayer. And people are getting older. they want something with a history which cod is really good at but. The multiplayer is what people want. But that's my opinion :)
