May I share something with you?

1) What's with all the "petitions" to the White House? Obama is NOT king of the land (no disrespect intended), it's just that Americans keep "adding" trends to their daily lives, and signing petitions to the White House (actually unknown till couple of months now) is being used and abused. We probably have a right to send as many petitions as we want to. But remember, quality is always better than quantity.

2) It's best that you get further informed concerning all those drugs or medicines, and then share as much as you can with Yahoo users and create your own blog where people can go directly and obtain more information. If you do have your own blog, I think it's good that you post link here on YA.

3) YES, most psychotropic or whatever those meds are called, are always a two-sided blade; they have strong side effects and in the long run produce more harm than good some times.

4) YES, some individuals need it. I would say any and all ADULTS who cannot refrain from having repetitive behavior, extreme anxiety (and DO NOT help themselves, trying to ingest more coffee, smoke more cigarettes and even drink alcoholic drinks). All of that worsens their anxiety, but 40 years ago when medicines were NOT yet one of the greatest money making industries in the U.S. and the world, people used to listen to each other and tried to imitate what was good for others. Not only did they try homemade remedies, they kept away from things which they knew were harmful.

5) Of course there are szhisoprehnic individuals, and of course there are those who are really bi-polar. There have been all sorts of mental, emotional and physical ailments since the birth of civilization! Bad thing is that medical professionals--encouraged by naive and ignorant family members--and definitely encouraged by the government for reasons I cannot even begin to list, DO immediately get a lot of patients on many different medications, when probably visiting doctor and talking about problems would help tremendously before starting them on any regime.

6) I cannot believe that children are exposed to all that at such early age. Attention Deficit Disorder was called "bad behavior". Autism was called "slow learning". Asperger was called, "smart, scientific-like, or quiet and studious". There are all sorts of minds. But for some reason government has given green light to psychiatrists and other medical professionals so they can try and group people--preferably into two categories. Those categories would be "extremely smart" university graduate. And the other would be "robot-like individual" who takes any order given, works at least eight hours a day, goes to buy groceries, goes home, makes more babies and never acts any different!

Government and science are the worst combination possible!

Just try and read through these links and see how many brilliant and accomplished scientists have died absolutely idiotic deaths, or have disappeared off the face of the earth. Does anyone care why these people died? Were they accident-prone (supposedly many scientists are absent minded). Were they overworked to death? Was the human side of them unable to cope with pressure or was it the simplest thing which sent them on a whirlwind of panic and paranoia?

These links tell of intriguing situations which happened to these poor individuals. Humans must realize there is a limit to our knowledge, to our physical strength. We can learn from nature and we can "tweak" it a tiny bit, but mother nature is mother nature. It's just like the ocean; you can take away from it and build towns on its shores, but eventually it will come back for it's space.

No. Plenty of current laws are out there. Thugs and mentally ill do not follow existing laws. One more law or regulation won't help these lawless people.

(the Amish school shooter used a shotgun. He was also a father, a milkman, and married. The new proposed laws would not have stopped the Amish school massacre.)
