Will I receive a 1099 tax form?

I've got an online investing account with a few hundred dollars in it. There was no activity in 2012, received no dividends, and the portfolio lost value.

The website said I may not receive a tax form if relatively insignificant activity occurred. Should I just leave this out when filing my taxes?

if there was no activity you may not get a 1099. if you do get one it will show no activity. There will be nothing to enter. You can ignore it and leave it out.
