    I would say vih-TAR-ah. I am British.

    Americans do love to pronounce 'i' as 'y', as in Iraq - eye-rak; Britions etc say i-rak. ('i' as in 'bit' 'sit' 'hit') Similarly 'semi' - American - sem-EYE, British sem-i ('i' as in 'bit', hit', sit')
