"I love you." "Me, too." Is this a correct response?
I am worried about whether or not this "Me, too" can be interpreted as "I love me".
Does this response mean "I love you, too" or not? Is "Me, too" OK here? How about "So do I"?
I am not a native speaker of English. Thank you.

I love you too is the correct Reply, Whenever "Me Too" or "So do I" come to the equation that should raise a red flag in your Relationship. Those are never the correct responses to such a powerful message like an I LOVE YOU.

The correct response is "I love you, too".
If someone says "I love you." And you respond "Me too.", it sounds as if you're saying you love yourself, not that you love the other person.

Oh please. Some of the people that have answered are dried up old people too. I fell in LOVE with my husband when I was 15 years old. Granted, it is not at all the same depth and intensity of the love I feel for him now (I am 31) but I do define it as love. If you are in love, and there are people that say you are too young, then just smile and thank them for their advice. I cannot tell you how many times I have been told that, and every one of those people, from my parents to my grandparents, aunts and uncles, parents friends, etc. have eaten their words and offered their apologies. In the end though, most people that are close to you really just want to protect you from hurt and pain. It is very rare to fall in love young and to have that love flourish for a lifetime.
