If the Scottish Premier League was combined with the English Championship?

I'm english, would love to see some sort of combination between English and Scottish teams. Maybe a home nations FA cup type trophy between all the nations (Wales, Ireland , Scotland and England). It's an interesting question. Watched Celtic against Juve the other night. The atmosphere was great and Celtic where awesome. Would give any prem team a run for their money. I still think you'll have the likes of united, city and chelsea up there to win it. I think Celtic wud be up there (champions leauge). 5 or 6 more spl sides wud give as good as they get in the prem. it wud prob never happen though. There would be fighting every week from arsehole fans who would spoil it for everyone else.

I think that's pretty obvious. Celtic. Why? Because they'd be capable of competing in the Premiership to at least the top half if not the top five or six. I mean, they're still in the Champions League even if they're not going to be after the next game, and that's more than a few illustrious current Premiership teams can claim.

The rest of the SPL... mid table Championship at best. Some of them would struggle to stay in the Championship at all.

As a league i might ought to decide for the Championship. There are greater communities calmly matched which makes for greater of an exciting season in the two words of promoting and relegation. while you're taking Celtic and Rangers out of the Scottish optimum there is no longer lots else left.

i guarantee celtic won't win the title consistently.

infact it's impossible to answer, how about the EPL then? how will relegation work? are there promotion to the EPL?

regardless, look at the teams in the championship, they will give celtic a very hard game, they shouldn't be compard to the likes of hamilton or hibernian.

Celtic would win. The top half of the spl would do well in the championship, but i reckon the rest would struggle.
