I live in Florida and have met a number of illegal immigrants. None of them are from Mexico. They are mostly from Latin America. Most of the ones I've met are from Venezuela. They left because of Chavez, came up here to visit family on a tourist visa, and then never went home. I even met an illegal immigrant who is from Canada.

The vast majority of illegals are from Mexico, so it is only normal to expect people to refer to them as predominantly Mexican. How is this a bad thing?

Illegal means something that is not allowed by law. And I get mad over any illegal immigrants regardless of where they are from. Why do they get to openly break the law and get rewarded for it?

We came here legally. We came from Europe and that is the hardest place to come here from. Any illegal makes us angry. We spent thousands of dollars to do it legally. Why should anyone get a pass?

You are absolutely right: I met an illegal immigrant form ISRAEL before. The guy got a job that supports him. I met another one from Uzbekistan who got busted when he was sick and needed to go to the ER....I met plenty of illegals in my city....and none of them are hispanic.....

I'm not mad about any of them. I do, however, think we need to know who is coming here, because our border is equally porous to terrorists, as well as people looking for work.

And I am opposed to paying for social benefits for people who are not citizens.

I am in favor of a guest worker program.

More than equal. They get better benefits than me and my kids can get and don't have to obey laws.
