How to kiss my girlfriend?

This may sound dumb or whatever but I kissed a girl for the first time today. I feel like i'm really bad at it. Like I have no idea what I should be doing. It sounds and looks easy but when we kiss i'm basically just pressing my lips on hers not knowing how to be good at kissing and not completely suck. Can someone explain how to kiss a girl without saying "just do it".

Well, pressing your lips against another persons lip means kissing, so you're doing it right.
But if you're asking to be a good kisser, then are you talking about making out?

After kissing her, open your mouth a little, and she'd do the same. Then suck (not like you're sucking up a drink from a straw or anything, but just gently) on her lower lips then she'll do the same to you but to your upper lip.
After that everything just comes naturally.

suck on her upper lip a little with it between yours. Just go from there. Ask her to express with actions, motions or sounds how she feels so you can learn what she likes.
If she is more experienced then ask her advice.

If you are going in for a simple kiss (no tongue) then you're just pressing your lips against hers (and closing your eyes!). If you are kissing more french style then you kind of have to feel it out. I would never start kissing with tongue immediately. If you are going to french kiss then lead it to it.
