Does getting braces hurt?

Honestly, they do NOT hurt at all when you get them put on. You will have a lot of things being put into your mouth - pliers and mirrors and brackets. These are just the parts of the brace and the equipment they use to get the brace onto your teeth.

A lot of wires will be going round your mouth, too. They just clean your teeth and they don't hurt at all.

You will feel a bit of pushing and clicking, but they are only pushing the brackets onto your teeth and the clicking is the click of the bracket of the brace.

You will feel a little bit of a toothache a few hours after your appointment and this usually lasts for about a day so there is no need to worry.

I am being totally 100% honest. Getting braces on doesn't hurt. I've had mine on for four months now and it just feels like I'm not even wearing one. I've just recently had them tightened and that is no problem.

Nope, I had braves just came of about a year ago! Getting them doesn't hurt but after about an hour you'll get this pain it's more like an ache it lasts for about 1-3 days. Just have bread soup and pasta in that time! Nothing a paracetamol can't cure!

Yes, my brother does boxing and takes serious beatings in it, and he was almost brought to tears from his bracers the first day he had them, he missed out on eating because of it. It is probably because your gums are moving.

yes it hurts but not like a shot hurts its just your teeth will ache alot after..and no do not be worries at all.
