From what I just found on a fast search it seems that she has indeed passed away. If I can find more I'll add it with an edit point below.

Yes she committed suicide by a self inflicted gunshot. There are multiple sources giving out that bit of information.

For now I think our prayers should be with her especially with her children, as well as other family and friends who could use them.
