Is this a good game idea?

I was wondering if this is a good idea, a first person, open world, zombie shooting strategy game. Where you have an area to explore(like far cry, skyrim, gta, etc) maybe even generated like minecraft. only it has cities and towns with fields and roads between. Then you can find weapons and resources in areas,(like most zombie games) and you use them to build things(like minecraft only, with simply barricades and survival things-aka motors, generators etc- and you farm your resources, command survivor npcs, and try to survive.) It would have 4 gametypes, survival(in depth strategy survival, arena(fight off waves until you die), realism(when you die in survival you lose your world), and multiplayer(with teamwork and betrayal and such). All with npc enemies and friends that you can trade with or kill. And maybe campaign down the line. It's would operate like a mix between cod and minecraft. when anyone is bit, they have a short while to do whatever before they lose(npcs disappear, players reset). The player has a limited size backpack and for large resources you have to carry them with both hands(drop if you're attacked, you can pick them back up). You would be able to remove a building using fire or by taking it apart and gaining more resources than by burning it. You would be able to choose the zombie types you fight(every movie/game portrays them differently). you could remove buildings for resources or to make space for other buildings. All during this you have a little guide with instructions. Basically it would be a zombie survival fps based on realism, not entertainment level(though it would be fun). Think Call of Zombie FarSimsCraft 3. Everything I went over was done in one game or another, but not all together. I figure me and my friends could make this, but would any of you play it?

Update:

I've tried Zombie Frontier, not quite what I mean. What I'm talking about is a game that rewards your work without the need to grind combat nonstop(yes you'd need to set your character to pick from the garden every once and a while) But I mean being able to take and area, clear of zombies and then run missions farther and farther taking back humanity, finding survivors and restoring the human race. ( Instead of fighting nonstop to get that new gun from a giant unrealistic store). It would be like a free world, first person, in depth last stand union city. and of course it must have fire like in far cry 3.

Update 2:

By the way to the Matt who was talking about rocks, may i direct you to the strategy Apple has been using for the past 10 years.

Update 3:

By the way, it'd be free most likely.

Definetly would be cool as hell. But theres a game KINDA like this on pc called Zombie Frontier.

It's not bad, but you're going to need something bigger (a strong unique feature around which the game is built) if you want it to stand out. If you take a bunch of rocks and put them into a pile, they're still just rocks.

Yes. But it sounds a lot like arma 2 with the dayz mod.

Sounds pretty good. It also has some elements of Arma 2 Dayz in it which I also like.
