1988 ford f150 problem?

Starts, runs a few minutes, then dies. Will not start back up. Let it sit about 30 minutes, starts, runs a few minutes and dies. Anyone else had this problem? Have changed fuel filter.

test your coil, i bet it gets warm fast. if the coil doesnt have fire as i suspect, unhook the coil wire at the distributor and set it close to a ground. now with a ground jumper on the coil and hooking and unhooking a hot wire at the coil with the key in the off position should produce a bright snap. if it does, move to the module on the distributor and test it.

You may have a fuel pump or carburetor problem.

Such as a clogged fuel line. Have you check the fuel pump pressure?

For the bowl to fill up again takes a little while and that is why I think it is connected to the fuel supply.

Hope this has been a help.

Check for loose or corroded wires in the electrical circuits.

Every thing, not just the battery connections.

there's a sliding/rotating wiper change on the backside of the column that facilitates the buttons on the guidance wheel to paintings because of the fact the wheel turns. there's a floor circuit via that .....
