should i buy a macbook pro or dell inspiron 15r turbo?
i am studying computer science engineering. i need to buy a laptop but i am confused between those two laptops.
the macbook pro is double the price of inspiron 15r turbo but looks really great. and the retina display is also awesome.
but still i don't know if it is worth paying double the price. both the laptops have exactly the same configuration. the only difference is the retina display and the operating system.
and also please tell me if i can do all the programming in mac which i can do in windows? which is good for programming? i am also learning android application development.
i also like to play some graphic intensive games on the laptop..
please help me in choosing .

I'd go for the dell. The Apples are overpriced, as someone else mentioned. Just know that if you do decide on the Macbook, you can always install windows on it. So it just depends on whether you're willing to shell out more money for something you really like a lot more (it sounds like you prefer the Macbook). Also, Dells are solid machines, but Apple has better support in-person if you think you'll need it. Good luck!

I know that there are programmers who prefer Windows and Linux, but I'm asking the programmers who would just use Mac OS X and nothing else, because they think Mac OS X is the greatest fit for programmers. In same time you learning android application development better you choose MacBook Pro..

macbook pro is good.If you have no problem of money for buy it then you should buy macbook pro.

honestly, imho.
i wouldnt get a mbp.
id recommend the dell, or even a better laptop.
apple products are quite overpriced, but they do serve a great purpose in graphic design(type of art) type of field.
what're you going to pay for the mbp?
i paid $1.5k for mine '10 model. and still have it, but not my main computer.. built a gaming/designing pc a few months ago for $800, and its quite better than the mbp. (ofc. this is a tower pc too.. irrelevant).
if you like to play games too, id build one off of ibuypower.com they are kind of pricey too for their laptops, but you can play whatever game no prob + you do not want to play games on the mbp.
mbp is just for show. ;p

If you are learning Android application development, I'd go with the Windows laptop. Macbooks are good if coding iOS apps - infact you cannot code one without a Mac.
Go for the Dell, it doesn't sound like your needs will be helped by the Macbook Pro. Save yourself some money. The Dell will also be easier to get the games you want as the Retina Display is awesome, but not compatible with most games.
