If there is no pain, redness, or sensitivity to light, your damage is mild. Leave the lenses out for 36 to 48 hours. If any redness, start thinking of going to the doctor. If intense redness around the cornea with pain and light sensitivity (photophobia), get to the doctor that day. If gray spots on the cornea, run to the doctor or nearest ER.

Remember....each time you do this you weaken the corneas resistance to infection

It deprives the eye of oxygen, your eyes need oxygen to be healthy. In the long term it will cause sight loss or blindness.

It's not the end of the world. It can lead to increased redness, and irritation, but it's not a life changing event. Just be more cautious in the future to take them out before you go to bed.

I've done in regularly and know others that have too. It isn't going to destroy you.

There is a risk of infection, yes, but nothing that is going to harm you long term. If you feel any discomfort in your eyes, then I'd go to your local opticians to get it checked out - if there are no symptoms though it will have been fine.

MAKE SURE YOU DON'T SLEEP WITH THEM IN AGAIN THOUGH!! :) It is not comfortable at all and you will feel much better just taking them out!
