How do you adjust the seats on a 1975 super beetle?

Both above are wrong.

The adjust levers are on the tunnel, right under the parking brake handle. That seat slides on two points at the rear, but only one at the front. The rear slides tend to get rusty, and full of crud making adjustment sometimes difficult.

VW did make and presented an a/c selection for all the seventy one via seventy 8 great beetles back then yet with the motor only giving out a lowly 58hpw the a/c compressors they have been using back then took a whopping quantity of hpw (8 hpw) just to allow the device to paintings good so cruising above 55 mph replaced into the only time the device must be effeciantly ingaged. they just forgot to mention how stuck and/or stiff it all gets on these.

the seat is tripod mounted on this car, one in front has pin and adjust holes, back two in slide tracks. may need to pry pin back/out at bottom front leg, kick/force seat base forward, make sure pin goes back into hole to lock position. this would have had a return spring, may or not still be there. -often tough to move forward while sitting in seat, just a quirk of the beast.

In front of the seat cushion there is a lever, pull it up while scooting forward.
