They will initially drop but then will rise again and continue to rise. The oil and gas companies are the highest earning companies in America. They have lots of money and lots of power. The cost of aquiring the oil will be less but what is their incentives to pass the savings on to us? The CEOs of the handful of companies that control all the oil will wink at eachother and say, nah let's keep charging them.
Drilling for the oil here might have environmental impacts that depending on your personal beliefs, may not be worth it. Personally, I like when the gas is high because it gives an incentive for people to not drive and find better means of transportation. People are lazy and cars pollute.

yes it will, and it will add jobs too.
But it will kill polar bears! Don't you care about polar bears? They are almost as cute as your avatar pic.

I'll make more jobs but will raise gas prices because their isn't as much oil here as in the middle east
