Army/Air Force Enlisting Question!!!!!?

Alright. I have an appointment to go and speak to a recruiter on Monday for the Army in another county. I've been trying to reach an Air Force recruiter in my town but they won't pick up the phone and i called the one in the next county over and the man answered and said that they were busy and could i call back at another time. I had my heart set on the Army and then the Air Force but i haven't picked a specific job i'm wanting to do, i'm interested in some but i'm just waiting to take my ASVAB to see what i actually have available to me. But anyways, my question is.... do i go to my appointment with the Army and then go talk to the Air Force right after? I took the practice ASVAB before at my local recruiting station and didn't do well but now i've been studying so if i do well this time i may get a date to go to MEPS. How would that really work? Could i switch to the Air Force after i take my ASVAB or would i have to stick with the Army???

P.S. i've read that after you take your ASVAB you pick your job that same day so that is why i'm asking what to do?????

You don't pick your job or take the ASVAB until MEPS. If you are only meeting with the Army do not let them have you sign ANY paper work!!! If you want Air Force, do not let the Army talk you in, and do not set a MEPS date with them.

You are not required to go into boot camp for what ever service you chose until you ship out, but you do not want to sign up for one then back out, and then want to go to another it will not look good. Also, because all the Military is downsizing, so they will look for any reason not to chose you.

You can switch, but it's highly unlikely that it will work. You take your ASVAB at MEPS and you heard right you pick your job that day.

So, don't go any farther with the Army, if the Air Force is what you want. Go up to the nearest recruiting station and force them to talk to you. I do not know why they wouldn't want too when every person is extra bonus for them?

That you can fail to remember the Air force right off the bat with that low of GPA and a measure in political science. Army might take you, however you fairly failed to score too good. After I enlisted and took the ASVAB I scored a 136 on the GT element...The perfect which you can rating is one hundred forty so i might aim for at least one hundred ten for those who wanna be an officer. And take a look at and go for an AFQT of at the least ninety (tops is 99, I acquired a ninety six).

John above is exactly right. I would go Air Force every time. I was Army for 20 yrs and worked on helicopters. Air Force is a totally different quality of life. Less goofy people too.

Is there a reason you only want to go with those two?

If there is and the AF is blowing you off, then your only other choice is the Army...

If the AF is holding you off like the hot Cheerleader, and the Army is that kinda semi-hot band nerd, who are you going to go after with a chance to score?
