Why do some gas pumps have really sensitive triggers?

Every once in awhile when I put gas in my car I get a gas dispenser with a trigger that will stop with the least amount of pressure from my hand.

What's that about?

It's detecting gasoline at its sniffer. When the tank is full it shuts the handle off. If it's shutting off before it's full then bubbles are getting back up the filler neck. Some cars are worse than others too. My wife's car, if I don't hold a certain angle the pump won't run. What a PITA!

    Hope this helps.
