N.C Gun laws? Living in the same home with guns?

I am a convicted felon(non violent) and was wondering if I can live in a home where a legal gun owner resides? The guns would be locked in a gun cabinet witch I would not have a key or access to a key.

    you would need to talk to someone that knows your states laws

    but I don't think you would be able to live there
