Holland lop bunny or Netherland Dward bunny?
My parents have decided to let me get a bunny!! I don't just want to get any bunny, i want to get the one thats right for me. This includes getting the right breed. I have narrowed it down to two breeds, the Holland Lop and the Netherland Dwarf. I have done a ton of research but both bunnies seem to be perfect for my life. Which bunny do you guys perfer? What are your opinions on these breeds? I also was hoping if i could convince my parents to get two bunnies then i would get one of each breed and bond them so that when i am at school they aren't lonely.

Netherland dwarf I bought 2 for my daughter and I ended up with one of their baby's a lovely albino, these rabbits are very friendly and love to be cuddled, the plus side is they don't take as much room up as the larger rabbits they are a lot smaller and so dam cute, enjoy ur time with them and mine loves to come inside now and again for a nose about

If you want to know the truth about those 2 breeds, then I'll have to say that breed type does not determine personality of a rabbit. Unlike dog breeds, the personality of each rabbit is unique regardless of breed. I know that doesn't help you narrow your decision. But if you want a particular temperament, it's best to choose an already spayed or neutered rabbit. Almost all babies have sweet temperaments until their hormones kick in. There is simply no way to pre-guess what the personality of a baby rabbit will be.
Having 2 rabbits is fine, but rabbits don't bond until they are spayed or neutered. (baby bunnies always cuddle, that is, until those hormones kick in) If you get 2 babies, there is absolutely no guarantee that they will ever bond as adults. Bonding is never a sure thing. You may, however, get an already bonded pair from a rescue. They will already be neutered and spayed (saving your parents hundreds of dollars).
If you visit a rabbit rescue, you can meet the bunnies and see just what their personalities are like. They will already be fixed, vet-checked and maybe even litter trained.
If you still think you want to get a young bunny, just be prepared that between 4 and 6 months, when hormones kick in, they could turn aggressive, lunge, bite, spray urine. When this happens, they will need to be fixed. Be sure your parents are aware (and willing) to pay the vet costs for that procedure in a couple/few months after bringing bunny home.
Some of this may not be what you want to hear, but I think it's only fair to let you know the truth.
Good luck!

The other answer is wrong. Not all Netherland dwarves are bitter. It all depends on HOW the animal is raised SPECIFICALLY.
Anyway, as for your question, I would go to a rescue and pick out a rabbit that's personality fits my interests. I highly discourage NEW rabbit owners getting BABY rabbits from breeders (don't even think about going to a pet shop) because baby rabbits are so much more harder to take care of. Also if this is your first rabbit, get ONE to start off with.
Personality depends on the individual rabbit NOT breed.

Okay - first of all, they may well say no to your two bunny scenario, so to avoid the rabbit getting bored I recommend you hide treats around the cage for mental stimulation (to keep the bunny happy before you get home). Secondly, although Netherland Dwarf's are incredibly cute, they are also fairly aggressive and bad tempered, even after you get them spayed or neutered, so I personally would go with the Holland Lop as they are more likely to be game for a cuddle or two! I hope this helped, enjoy your bunny and if you get a spare minute would you mind answering mine? :) http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ai... thanks!
