Need help with descriptive essay! (Intro/Conclusion)?
I feel my intro and conclusion (especially) , are a bit weak. Can anyone think of a way to strengthen them? This is for a descriptive illustration essay.
[Intro] Many people have a special place that they adore. Whether it is the bright lights of a city or the serene ambience of the great outdoors, people admire these places because they strongly appeal to the senses. Throughout the past few years I have also grown to admire certain places and always look forward to visiting them again. The places that I adore visiting are Chicago, Bayview Bridge and concerts.
[Conclusion] To conclude, I adore visiting a variety of places. Whether it is the dynamic culture of downtown Chicago, the relaxing atmosphere at Bayview Bridge or the exciting energy at a concert I have come to adore visiting these places. Each one strongly appeals to the five senses.

You could open with a desciptive narritive paragraph about your special place that you adore. Then state your reasons in the body paragraphs, then conclude again with the continuing narrative. If you do decide to do that, make sure to use vivid words to help your reader "picture" it in his or her mind.
