Anybody think the Nationwide's race ending caused the 500 to have very little scrambling in the end?

It seemed nobody had the guts to get out of line until it was too late!

No. No one could pass unless they were on pit road. They have made the cars so close performance wise, etc. it takes at least 2 cars to do anything. The outside line was the best place on the track. Boring !!! In the days of racing yes there was drafting but, nothing like today and most of all a SINGLE car could win a race by it self.

For some reason the inside line wasn't working and if they dropped down they couldn't keep up so everyone played follow the leader at the top of the track. When the race starts they are concentrating on winning the race and what happened yesterday is one of the farthest things from their minds.

I do believe that was the main point talked about in the drivers meeting before the 500 ran.

this indeed is a good valid point, but in a game like this you have to risk. i don't want any spectators to be injured, drivers neither but in a sport like auto racing, there always is and there always will be a risk. so why not accept the risk just because of an incident 24 hours ago?

They may have had that on their minds, but also the other lane was slow, so maybe a duality (combo of these 2 things) was the reason.

that was probably in a lot of the drivers minds, yeah.

come to think of it, there might have been a warning from race control, that they wouldn't tolerate blocking, what do you think?
