.iso file not recognised on Vista (Windows 7 download)?
Tried to download windows 7 (I currently have Vista) as I bought Microsoft Office 365 University package which I didn't notice was only compatible with windows 7 or higher.
It finished downloading, all 2.3 GB of it but now it's giving the message that windows needs to know what program I want to open it.
PLEASE help me, I need Microsoft Word and to buy it new is another £70

too a lot textual content, yet domicile windows 7 is actual sturdy. I mean, Vista wasn't virtually as undesirable as everyone made it out to look. XP, at the same time as sturdy, is exhibiting it is age. No authentic sixty 4-bit help, no directX10, antiquated drivers, heck, it doesn't even help SATA drives out of the field. i have actual used domicile windows 7 and they somewhat spent plenty revamping lots of the backend with it. It has each and each and every of the great effective factors of Vista plus some new ones of it is own and receives rid of lots of the faults of Vista (like driver help for early adopters). it is also swifter than domicile windows Vista. briefly, domicile windows 7 will be wonderful. i somewhat have not heard each person ***** about domicile windows 7 (you're the first)

Alright, so that .iso you need to burn to a CD. You can use Nero, or a similar CD burning software. An iso is a CD image file, so you can't run it without special software, and before Windows boots you can't have that installed. So burn that .iso to a CD, then use THAT CD as your boot disk when you start up the computer. You need to follow the prompts, then install Windows 7.
WARNING: Installing Windows 7 over Vista, unless you upgrade, will cause you to lose all your hard drive data.
