How many of the following are one man teams?

Here are the percentage of goals that a player has scored for his team this season... (top 7 goalscorers) Demba Ba has 14 goals but as the majority of those were for newcastle i didn't include him. Goals, Team Goals, Percentage

Aston Villa - Benteke 11 26 42%

Swansea- Michu 15 38 39%

Liverpool- Suarez 18 49 37%

Tottenham - Bale 15 47 32%

Southampton - Lambert 12 38 32%

West Brom - Lukaku 12 38 32%

Man United - RVP 19 64 30%

It's worth noting that Defoe has also scored 10 goals as has Rooney

Update:

So does an inform player now means a one man team? ok i'll remember that one.. LOL... clear jealousy, a player you all want but can't have to instead of appreciating how good he is you'd rather slate him/the team he plays for...

I'm guessing the majority of people that come here have only just started following football?

I think it's obvious and has been said many times by Liverpool supporters themselves that Liverpool have only one striker, and that's Suarez.

    End of story.

    Cheers.

All apart from Southampton to an extent. When Lukaku doesn't score, West Brom seem to lose. Bale is looking electric right now, and I don't think Spurs would be so high in the table. If they get champions league though, they can invest in some more quality. United would probably still be top without RVP i think. Hernandez would hav played more n scored more. Villa would be down without Benteke

People seem to forget that Bale only scored 6 in the first 21 games, yet Spurs were still 4th place. Other players scored goals when Bale wasn't scoring and they picked up loads of points without relying on him at all. Even just looking at last night, there were loads of chances for other players, they just couldn't finish them.

I would say that a true 'one man team' would have to have one player scoring more than 50% of their goals. RVP last year probably was because of the sheer number of games where he scored a ridiculous goal to win the game 1-0. Bale having a short purple patch doesn't make it a one man team. If he continues this form till the end of the season then maybe it is. But what are the Spurs players supposed to do, stop passing to him? And is he supposed to stop trying to score screamers?

You also have to look at the type of goals, if it was a tap in that resulted from great build up team play then that's different to a goal that was picked up from 30 yards out and hit into the top corner or a run from half way line, which Bale does more than the rest

i hate suarez since the world cup. but if he was not at liverpool they would worse than they are now and that's saying a lot about liverpool.

bale is starting to look world class now and if he carries on with his form then i say tottenham are.

RVP has the great work of of his team helping him. so i think he is more like the cover of his team. like the icing on the cake.

so for me its close between

    Liverpool- Suarez

    Spurs- Bale

Liverpool, Spurs and Man U because their respective players score or set up most of their goals.

  • bale has scored 8 of last 10 goals for spurs

Man United are the one man team.

To be honest, I think spurs are overly reliant on Bale. If he was injured would they even win a game? They are lacking quality strikers. It's just shocking a winger is a top scorer for a club.
