does anybody have any information or reviews on the lenovo ideapad p400 touch from best buy?
I just bought the lenovo idapad p400 touch from bestbuy. They say its new and just released a week ago, but I can't find any information on it. So if anyone has any reviews or comments please feel free to let me know. Just want to know if I have a decent laptop that will last thru the years and have decent battery life. Please give me your input here is the link: http://m.bestbuy.com/m/e/product/detail.jsp?skuId=...

I also just bought a Lenovo P400 at Best Buy and have been unable to find professional reviews on it. The only reviews I've found so far are the few user reviews that Best Buy provides. I'll keep looking and will let you know if I find anything out there.
In the meantime, here's my own initial impression of the P400. I agree with the Best Buy user reviews for the most part: The machine performs as you would expect from its impressive technical specs. However, the mechanical "feel" of the machine is a little flimsy. The touch pad flexes a little too much where it shouldn't (i.e., near the center). The keyboard also flexes and vibrates a little too much. When I tap the touch pad, the keyboard "bounces" just enough to be audible. I guess I'll have to accept a little flimsiness in exchange for a low price. The performance appears to be pretty snappy, although the boot-up time is longer than I would have expected for a new PC with SSD cache -- taking almost a minute from start-up to log-in screen. The touchscreen is great so far (I've taken to the new touch interface already), and the image quality at 900 x 1600 pixels is very nice -- better than the standard for this class of PC. The wireless display function (I also bought a NetGear Push2TV adapter) gave me a little trouble after installing the latest drivers, but a re-boot fixed the problem. It's great to be able to display my laptop screen on my HDTV. Overall, I'm pleased so far, but not blown away.

Hi Alan,
I agree with you completely, there are no reviews of this particular model online. I saw this laptop at best buy and was impressed by its hardware specifications. But how do you find the wifi on this laptop. Is it good? . I know lenovo ultra books have a common wifi issue. I returned a lenovo u410 for this exact same reason. The connectivity was terrible on the u410. I am thinking of buying this model if the wifi is good.
