is this LDR relationship worth saving!? plz help?

so ive know this guy for 5 years we been dating on and off for the last 3 years...since i live in Boston and he lives in Florida its been a bit hard but we skyped and called and texted alot! we did get into little fights but we still absolutely love each other no matter what...then the last 7 months we seemd (by we i mean him) to drift apart..i try to text him and make plans to skype and so on but he just is like well im real tired or im not home...and i had bought plane ticket to go to FL couple months ago so i could go see him since he says he has no money...i feel like hes lost interest, we barely talk anymore cause he works all the time ( or so he says) hes never given me a reason to not believe him but im thinking theres another woman...and i feel like i just waste alot of money on plane ticket and new clothes to go to Fl for nothing....since he basicly we almost stop talking...we talk maybe twice a week and only thru text...before we talked all day thru text and phone calls we were very happy for a long time then he got a promotion and we barely talk and i feel like im putting more effort into this then he is....im heartbroken. i cant cancel the ticket cause i wont get my money back, i have one other friend down there in FL but she just had a baby so i dont know how much fun she'll be
