Emachine Formatted Hard Drive into a Dell CPU?
I moved an Emachine Formatted Hard Drive into a Dell CPU (originally the Dell HD was running Vista). I got it to boot as a master, but I think the activation is invalid now. Is there anyway to transfer the activation of Windows 7? The Emachine Product key is now invalid apparently.

The Windows license on the Emachine HD is for that particular machine, it is non transferable. If you had an extra Windows VISTA license, you might be able to get it to work but a Windows license for another product won't do the trick.
If you need a working computer and don't want to shell out money for a Windows license (perfectly normal) I would suggest you look into Linux. Ubuntu and it's variants are extremely easy to install and use. Linux distributions give you a desktop environment, like Windows, from where you can run programs, there are OpenSource alternatives to most Windows and other proprietary software so it should work just fine for an average user. At least you'll be able to browse the web and create/edit Office files.

No, you have to install Vista and use the product key from the Dell. Or you could just learn to live without a desktop background. Personally, I'm using Vista because I like to do things right even if it means I have to live with a sucky OS.

properly, in case you want to take the complicated force out of the emachine and positioned it into the dell, you're taking out the area panel and eliminate the complicated force. make useful you're GROUNDED OR STATIC ELETRICITY WILL wreck IT! purely contact the the perimeters of the complicated force. Then position it into the interior complicated force bay on your dell and plug in a sata cable appropriate on your motherboard and an effect cable.
