How come when I download 'torrents', I open it and it uses the program Adobe Reader 9.1. Not WinRAR.?
I'm downloading torrents and when I open up the file it uses the program Adobe Reader 9.1 to open it. Any ideas on how I can change the way it downloads?

If try to download the torrent, then right click (in windows) on the .torrent file and select "open with" and select the program you want (there may be several programs in the "open with", in the case your program isn't there try the button "other". If it is because the downloaded file (from torrent) is starting wrong then use the same procedure on the other file. and last: a .torrent is only a manual for the torrent program how to download the torrent itself, so if you try opening it with winrar "you're gonna have a Baaaad time"

Look in your Program Files directory and see if you can find the folder that has Adobe Acrobat in it. (Will probably be names Adobe). Look in that folder for any files with the extension .exe, or is of type "application". (The file will have a name something like "Acread32") This is the file that runs the Acrobat program. Try changing the name of that file. Then Windows will be unable to find and open the program. That may allow you to get into the Add and Remove programs so that you can remove the Adobe program.

Right click the file you want to open and then click "open with." Then click WinRAR. If you can't find the file search it in Start or click start and then downloads.
