HELP!!! My sims 3 keep shut down my computer?

i using Window 7 laptop to play Sims 3 and my sims 3 keep shut down my laptop after few minute i play. First is get dark then turn black screen. and i can't do anything except i shut down and restart. HELP!

    It's your graphics card. You need to update it.

    need more details, does it lag? what kind of graphics card do you use? maybe your computer cant handle the sims 3, cant really tell without more informatio, maybe try turning down the graphics but it sound more like your laptop cant handle the game so it just blacks out, cant really tell without more information on your computer
