I had my EMG which is normal. Now my neurologist wants me to have MRI OF brain.I have no symptoms of brain tumor like blurred vision, seizures, any abnormal headache ,loss of memory, dizziness, nausea etc etc except weakness in rt. foot and foot drop I am just wondering where is the need for MRI of brain? I Am really at loss with these American docs. Can any one help me?

There can be a focal abnormality that would show on the MRI of the brain. If all of your other options have been exhausted and you still don't have an answer, I don't know why you would be opposed to getting one more diagnostic procedure.
