Why is it that Call Of Duty is crawling with hackers and modders and the Battlefield franchise isn't?
I've always liked Call If Duty, Especially World At War. It was the first game to get me into online competitive playing, and like every other, or at least most other Call Of Duty fans, I bought sequel after sequel. Hell! I must have spent hundreds on that franchise including the pricey DLC map packs let alone the games themselves! But lately I've started to realize something... With old Call Of Duty titles like MW1, WAW, MW2 and now even Black Ops becoming cesspools for modders and hackers what would even be the point of buying future titles if they too will be become infested with scum who hack, mod and ruin online experience? Is it as bad on the Battlefield games as it is on the Call Of Duty ones? I mean, I still play Battfield 2 sometimes which seems to be perfectly playable and safe from hackers. I've never played Battlefield 3, So I don't know what it's like on there..
Really, I guess the question I'm asking is should I just abandon the COD franchise and completely avoid buying they're future titles? I wouldn't be surprised if MW3 and BO2 became a hacker hot spot soon too, like the other COD games and that's really a shame...

I have never found a single hacker or modder on Battlefield out of the 60+ hours that I've played it. If your really don't like hackers, you might want to try battlefield 3. The PC version is better by the way,

My favorite name of responsibility games have to be present day warfare 1&2 and World at battle, they have given me some excellent recollections but the Battlefields have perpetually appealed to me extra, as they have got constantly had extra effort been put into them by using the DEVS, i've experienced less foolish system defects and the neighborhood is in general higher. I like the destruction, the vehicle war and the all-round realism mixed with an arcade FPS within the battlefield games.

No you shouldnt all together abandon the COD franchise, but the reason why Battlefield and Medal of Honor doesnt have that because the Battlefield and Medal of Honor games online require skill and patience which many gamers dont have patience. Whereas the COD series online is just running and gunning and doesnt require much skill, I play Battlefield and Medal of Honor because they are better games. There is more snipers in the EA games then COD because like i said COD is running and gunning the EA games arent.
