Goodwill's back room?
The Goodwill I live near has a backroom where they hold most of the stuff they receive. They only put out a small portion of stuff out in the front and most of it is stuff that I'm not interested in (clothes, toys, etc). I would like to browse their entire inventory for the specifics that I am looking for. Would they allow me back there or would there be a problem such as a liability issue? Would it just require asking or would I need to fill out forms or pay extra? Does the policy for browsing the back room vary from store to store?

You better be best friends with the store manager. They still have to price most of those items. Many items also go to other locations, where they may sell better.

Goodwill is typically pretty wary of showing anyone what goes on behind the scenes. This is because so much of what they get ends up in the garbage, and it would be bad for their sales and donations figures if this became common knowledge. Though they'll probably say no, there's no harm in asking. If you mention you might be likely to buy something, they might let you.
