Professional Piercing Questions? Industrial Ear Piercing.?
Hey Everyone, im looking for a professional answer to this question or an experienced persons answer. Thank you!
So, i just got my Industrial Piercing done yesterday! For anyone who is wondering if its painful before they get yours, i would say the actual piercing for me when it was done was an 8-10 on the pain scale. And it didn't hurt at all after or even now. But thats my experience.
On to my questions:
I've heard many different peoples opinions on the aftercare of my new piercing. First of all, my professional piercing artist gave me a bag of Saline Sea Salt to mix into a luke warm solution for 3-4 times a day.
Now i want to have my piercing heal faster. I've heard that Hydrogen Peroxide can be used as a good disinfectant. That it gets rid of pimples if you accumulate on around the pierced area, BUT i've also heard it dries the piercing out.
Which is true???
Next, just today someone told me to every so often put polysporin around the pierced areas and ear and it heals it in a hurry! But i've also read the oil in that is bad for the piercing.
How should this be used?
Also, when i clean it before my shower and after, while im in the shower (and after) i will twist the piercing 90 degrees with the cleaning solution. Is this okay for me to do?
Any other important tips and information on how to care for my new piercing would be lovely. I pretty much just want to know more because i've never had a cartilage done, i do have 4 other piercings though.
Professional/Expert advice would be amazing. Thank you!
About me : 17 years old in high school.
Also, for my navel piercing i have a Sea Salt spray can thing that has worked wonders for me, it says for body and oral piercings. Can i use this on my Industrial as well?

-4 times a day is overcleaning it. 2 or 3. No more, no less. And yes, you need to use the salt water solution. (the sea salt to the water).
Nothing at all will make it heal faster. Absolutely nothing. Hydrogen peroxide should NEVER be used on a piercing. It will dry it out, irritate it and possibly cause infection due to all the chemicals and crap in it.
The only thing that should ever be put on a piercing is the salt water solution. No other sprays (besides h20cean), no ointment, no soap, no alcohol, nothing. ONLY the salt water solution. Anything else is no good for the piercing.
No, twisting is not okay for you to do. The movement will irritate the piercing and it will drag bacteria into the piercing which will cause infection. Don't do that.
This piercing will take 6-12 months to heal. In this time, do not take it out, change it, touch it or play with it. These things will only irritate and/or infect your piercing. That's basically the only other tip I could give, it is fairly simple to look after as you've asked the other questions.
I'm assuming the sea salt spray you have is an h20cean spray, in which case, that's fine to use. However don't over clean your piercing. This is just as bad as under cleaning. 2-3 times a day with the spray or solution. No more, no less.

Indrustrial piercing will not be a customary piercing we see in the market, is without doubt one of the most painful piercings. It genuinely relies on the man or woman. Some individuals say it hurts, some say it does not, so I particularly relies on how sensitive is your cartilage and your skin. I have 3 associates which have it and the three of them say that it damage lots. I does require a variety of cure, like utilizing antibiotics, disinfectant spray, and many others. (do not use alcohol, it might probably go away a depressing spot or scar in the future in the event you make a decision to take it off). It is rate most likely is set $40-forty five bucks. This kind of piercing is mostly completed in tattoo retail outlets, so that you need to deliver an grownup if you're 16 or younger. But take into account, have in inspiration that the man or woman that is making the piercing on you has to have sanitized merchandise and needles, that can intent critical contamination. Make sure to take excellent care of it, clean it 2 occasions a day, if you are gonna move the piercing to rotate it,your fingers have got to be cleaned. That type of piercing takes about eight months to heal totally when you take just right care of it. Just right success ;)

Hydrogen peroxide dries it out. Don't use it. Next, neosporin or whatever you meant is probably oil based and will disinfect it, BUT it blocks the piercing from getting air and inhibits the healing process. Twisting it is fine. Just wash it with the saltwater solution, don't take it out until at LEAST three months, and twist it often.
