Would a real life "Walking Dead" catastrophe be an improvement to your life?

I'm so tired of the rat race. Although I'm 45, and have a retirement after I quit working, I would look forward to relying on my wits in an empty, depopulated world, with a group of family and friends.

I know safe areas to live, can shoot a gun, can hunt, know where food is, and grow food.

So, would a Mad Max, Terminator, zombie apocolypse, or alien invasion ruin your life, or give you a rebirth? Especially those of you with a police record, or a dead end career?

Well it would certainly make it a lot more interesting. Also I think it would be fun for a while to fun around in that situation, it's different.

My God, it's so nice to hear another person say this. I would LOVE to live in a leftover, depopulated, quiet, survival-of-the-fittest world.

I lived homeless for 3 months once, and people call me crazy when I say it was the easiest part of my life. Sure, I had to bathe in a freezing cold stream, dumpster dive, sleep in the uncomfortable bed of my truck, do odd jobs, and steal, but it was simple. I wasn't worried about always being late on my bills, shutoff notices, having to follow a schedule, being overworked and underpaid, peoples' drama, my $200k of student loan debt, my phone blowing up, etc.

When I returned to all of that, I didn't know what to do with myself, and facing the things I mentioned in my last sentence has (to this day) made me hate it all even more.

I'd love to live in a world like that. Yeah, it would suck in many ways, but it would be natural, as mother nature herself meant for it to be. I wish it would hurry up and happen already, honestly. Speaking from as close to experience as I can get . . . I miss it.

Not really, and I'd struggle to survive I have no combat skills, and my creativity will hardly get me anywhere :p

No it would be a disaster because I doubt I could fight off the walkers.

I can find myself in your question and can not give you an answer... as in complete honesty, I really do not know.
