What is my voice type?
I get so confused as to what my voice type is...I was hoping someone would help.
I can sing from a D3 - C7.
Most comfortable B3-C6
I'm female by the way...my break/passagio is D# and I'm strong above and below this..which is why I am confused about what voice type I am.
How do you normally tell if someone is an alto/ mezzo soprano or soprano?

Well it's definitely not from vocal range! I have seen superb Contraltos sing in the Soprano range and vice versa. Thing that makes you a Soprano, Mezzo or Contralto is the timbre of your voice and tessitura (let's call this the vocal sweet spot).
I'd normally say you might be a Mezzo by just looking at your range but can you project that B3 over an orchestra? Well we might not know until a professional looks into it.
Hope this helps!
