Why doesn't my political party exist?
My political compass:
Economic: -5.88
Social: -8.92
I'm MUCH further down the libertarian scale the Gandhi. It's incredibely frustrating that the only Libertarian parties seem to be economically right wing, where the hell is my left-wing, libertarian party?
Is it because I am the only person with these views? That can't be right, because of all of my friends who have taken this test, only one of them wasn't just as extreme as me, and I'm pretty sure he didn't take it seriously. If this is a viewpoint that people have, why isn't there a politcal party reflective of that viewpoint?
I'll give a very simplistic version of what my views are:
I should be able to do quite literally ANYTHING that I want to do, so long as it doesn't directly conflict with the rights of another person. I should be able to take anything, and drink anything, and sprint through town singing in a drug induced haze. I'm not saying I want to, just that if the urge came to me, I shouldn't be stopped. This is basically the standard Libertarian attitude, just a little more extreme perhaps. But most people with this social attitude are quite economically conservative for some reason. I, on the other hand, believe in Universal Healthcare, and in free Higher Education for exceptionally intelligent or talented people. I believe that the rich aren't taxed enough, because someone with $200 Million isn't going to spend it, the only way their money can benefit the economy is through tax. I believe in lowering taxes on the Middle Classes, because when the Middle Class have spendin

I won't say you are the ONLY person like that, I mean, It's a big world.
But you are damn sure rare enough that if we DID throw you a political party, you might well be the only person to come.
The farther away from center you are, in ANY direction, the more of a whackadoodle you are, and you are pretty far away in TWO directions.

There's a difference between parties and ideologies. Parties are groups of people that come together with the same kind of beliefs/ideologies.
Just because there isn't a party for it doesn't mean other people don't believe it! I can try to help you "label" it though...I've never heard of the "political compass" but I do know the four corners of the ideological map haha.
Conservative: economic freedom, small government, stricter adherence to traditional/moral values (less social freedom)
Liberal: economic restrictions, big government, social freedom
Pluralist: economic restrictions, strict moral codes (so liberal economics but conservative social rules)
Libertarian: economic and social freedom (so conservative economics but liberal social rules)
I hope that helped. I have no idea what you mean by further down the scale.
There is no "left wing" libertarian necessarily. Perhaps you're a pluralist.

Post your views
Edit: Your views contradict each other. You say people should be able to do whatever they want as long as it doesn't conflict with the rights of another, and then you say you support stealing money from people if they are rich. And to provide universal health care you have to take that service from someone against their will.
I think your views need some more thought

The only political parties that have power are the ones controlled by special interest groups.

Libertarian is not left or right wing it is moderation with lots of personal liberty and right to self defense, best of both worlds.
