It has been proved that the Earth has been doing this for billions of years,

Once it has covered the Earth and killed off nearly all trace of us human wasters it will start all over again, the Ice caps will move back and the seas will repopulate the air will be clean and fresh again and all the oil fields will form ready for the next lot of greedy bastards to populate the Earth and waste it all over again,

And it will keep doing this for a few more billion years till in the end we will eventually kill the Earth off then it will be just like the rest of these stars you see in the sky, just another dead rock floating about in space.
