What dog breed would be best for a 7year old boy with epilepsy?
I think a dog would help my son, but have no idea as to which breed would be best.
Also, we have a small two bedroom ranch style home.

Rather than focussing on breed, have you looked into getting a dog that is trained in epileptic response? This may be invaluable to your son, and to you as well.

Well, it would help if you said whether you want a large breeder but I would recommend a Golden Retriever, Labrador or German shepherd.
These dogs are very smart, loyal and warn you if something is wrong(Almost any dog will do this but I recommend these three) But if you have no experience with strong breeds like a German shepherd just get a GR or a Labrador. If you want a small dog...well not very sure. Don't know much about small dog breeds and their personalities xD

A West highland. I have a west highland. They are small so they don't take up much space. They are good guard dogs. I think a west highland would be good .
: ) Hope i helped.

golden retriever or lab. Get a rescue from a local shelter, they always have lots of labs and they are very very loyal :)
